Meet The Team
The Company invests significantly in its ongoing staff training programme. Our staff undertake training in First Aid, Manual Handling, Use of Power Tools and Working at Height. Our staff have completed Competency Assessments on a Telehandler, Mini Digger, Dumper and Vibrating Roll. They have also undertaken Asbestos Awareness Training and are able to carry out unlicensed asbestos removal.
Mark, a plasterer by trade, has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years and has been the Managing Director of Willow Homes Lincolnshire Ltd since 2000. Mark has expertise in project management and possesses excellent knowledge of both traditional and modern construction methods.
Mark has a comprehensive understanding of Building Regulations and Health and Safety and he holds the CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Certificate.
Mark enjoys clay pigeon shooting in his spare time. He enjoys watching football but is frustrated that his playing days are long gone!
Julie Robinson AssocRTPI
Julie has worked for many years in Town and Country Planning in both the public and private sectors. She holds both the BTEC National Certificate and BTEC Higher National Certificate in Land Administration (Planning). Julie is responsible for ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and is passionate about health and safety.
Having successfully completed training in Employment Law she deals with Human Resources and prepares and monitors Policies and Procedures. She also deals with the discharge of planning conditions and works closely with Edward on financial management, strategic planning and contracts.
Julie spends her spare time training and competing her dressage horses. She competes regularly with considerable success at Regional and National Level.
Edward Robinson BSc (Hons)
Edward achieved a 2:1 in Management Studies from the University of Nottingham in 2016. Having completed the Chartered Institute of Builders Graduate Conversion Certificate in Construction Site Management he is currently working towards Chartered Membership of the Institute. He holds the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Construction Site Managers Card (Black) and the CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Certificate. He also holds the City and Guilds Streetworks Excavation and Reinstatement Supervisor Certificate.
Edward’s main duties include strategic planning, pricing, procurement, contracts, and the day to day management of resources. He's responsible for preparing Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessments and Method Statements in accordance with the CDM Regulations 2015.
Edward works out at the gym almost every day and enjoys playing football.
Tom has worked in the construction industry for almost 10 years and has gained the NVQ Level 3 in Plastering and holds the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Advanced Craft Card (Gold). He also holds the CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Certificate and is currently working towards the NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery. He completed the BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Brickwork and Blockwork gaining a Distinction and has recently successfully completed the C-ILM Leadership and Management in Construction Level 3 Award.
One of his key tasks is the coordination and management of sub contractors.
Tom enjoys spending time with his young family. He holds a Second Dan Black Belt in Kung Fu.
Glen has been with us for several years and while his primary trade is that of a bricklayer he has immense experience in many aspects of construction. He holds the City and Guilds of London Institute Advanced Craft Certificate in Brickwork and has completed a National Joint Council for the Building Industry approved apprenticeship in the craft of bricklaying.
Glen has recently successfully completed the C-ILM Leadership and Management in Construction Level 3 Award. Glen holds the CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Certificate.
Outside of work Glen supports and encourages his family as they follow their chosen careers and is very proud of their achievements.
Groundworks and General Construction Operative
Brian is experienced in many aspects of construction with a particular interest in groundworks and block paving.
He holds the CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Certificate.
Brian keeps everyone entertained on site with his good humour.
Dave has been an approved electrician for 12 years and has recently been accredited with the NICEIC to enable Willow Homes to certify all its domestic electrical work with building control.
He is qualified to 18th edition regulations, NVQ level 3 in electrotechnical services and testing and certification of electrical installations. Dave is involved with all aspects of electrical work from design, installation, testing and certification.
Dave is a keen runner and competes at obstacle course racing, recently at the world championships.
Streetworks and General Construction Operative
James holds the CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Certificate and has successfully completed the NVQ Level 2 in General Construction. He is currently working towards the NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery. James also holds the City and Guilds Streetworks Excavation and Reinstatement Operative Certificate.
James is a very talented golfer. He has played for both the England U16 and the England U18 golf teams. He has played internationally representing Great Britain and Ireland and has also played for the England Men’s A Squad and the Men’s Elite Squad.
Gavin has recently joined the team. He has vast experience in kitchen and bathroom installations and refits. His skills include, tiling, plumbing, joinery and plastering.
In his spare time Gavin enjoys going to the gym.
Rhys has been with us for 2 years and has developed his bricklaying and general construction skills during that time. Rhys has successfully completed the Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Towel Occupations. Rhys works alongside Glen on a daily basis to further develop his skills and knowledge.
